Vroooooooom!

....so i've been in search of a new bike forever and FINALLY something caught my eye [ and wallet ] via craigslist a week ago. boston > craigslist.

ha - i emailed the post and he called me back the next morning.

'cool - so what neighborhood are you in?', he asked.
'new york city.'
'damn, dude.'
'yeah - gimme 5-6hrs to get there.'
'cool.'

this was on a friday so i jumped on a chinatown bus [ bought a disposable camera first ] and headed to boston:
I got there just under 5hrs.

And once i got there a mister Josh Deane picked me up and pulled my baby out of his jeep:

After about 20mins of throwing bike jargon back and forth [ he was far more articulate ] i handed over some currency and headed back to the bus station.
pwitty luggage.
I got back to manhattan around 4am. My first ride through the city and onto the manhattan bridge was soooooooooo clean.

I named it Plan Bee.
Thanks again, Josh, for my new pet.

oh fixed gear,

It Took Two

In april i was hit up by the brotherly duo directors TWiN to be a part of their Qdept Director Series.

Twas a cool idea: pic a couple of artists, send us their favorite songs, give us 30mins in front of a camera to illustrate a piece influenced by the music...then throw a party to display the film and the art.

fantastic.
check out my lil banger. i figured irreverence called for custom type, duh:

Fantastic Folks

A couple days ago i shadowed Dhundee over to see his buddies at Liberty Studios.

Ms Gina Bevilacqua is a dope producer who's also a sucker for mid-seventies folk music 'my parents used to always listen to...and now all of a sudden i cant get enough of it.' She threw a couple tracks on and i summed up her parents as cool-ass west coast hippies.

We had a geeked convo on typography....particularly title treatments.

yay.

check out some of her work HERE.
.....and definitely peep Rope A Dope

The other half of the Hosting Dream Team was Mr Rudolf Bekker. This kind Dutchman offered me bier before introducing himself - proper!
His photography is.....milky. Yes - milky. I want to either drink it or bath in it....havent decided yet. I pulled some selects but be sure to take a gander at his portfolio site H E R E.
...and here's a collabo of their's i dug up [ she produced / he stars in ]:
