Photographer Porter Hovey's work took me on an interesting ride. Its dramatic and playful and cropped amazingly and....and.....and she has a title for each photo.

He done it again

One of my favorite norwegian blogs, Kjeft'a , published a series of photos taken in Oslo of tags around the city. Kjeft'a means "shut it" as in "shut yo' mouth" in Norwegian and that's exactly what they make me do everyday when I get their updates. It's also one of my go-to sites whenever I wanna know where the fun is at in Oh so Oslo.

Meet&Greet // Heydays

Before leaving Oslo i got the chance to meet & geek with some of the folks of design shop HEYDAYS.

These guys are all pretty young and gettingerdone [new word]. Fresh out of school they opened the studio [fuck a jobsearch] and seem to have no reason to look back. They've been getting some great clients and projects.

Made it to the Big screen

We all know how Jelsen has his sticker sticking down. He knows where to stick - so they won't be taken down and he knows how to stick - so he won't get caught. Hey, he even has his own crew of sticker stickers all over the world.

A couple of weeks ago our buddy, Mawuse, informed him that she had been to a pre-screening of the new Biggie Smalls movie, "Notorious" and caught a glance of a Jelsen Jargon sticker in it.

In a moment of extreme boredom today, I decided to watch the film online and there, 11minutes in, is an actor doing pull ups against a lamp post and a very familiar sticker staring at me. Can't wait to see this movie on the big screen (no pun intended)! Good job sticking it, husband.

Meet&Greet // Scandinavian Design Group

I was more than happy to have a Meet&Greet with Naja Boone at SDG. They also have offices in NYC so we've tried to connect earlier this year but the timing never lined up....until we were both in Oslo last week.

So, during our meet we started looking at some typography in my sketchbook which then led to a Courtesy Of post.....which then led to a photo of Ekene....who she recognized from back in NYC.

What she didnt know was that while i was at her office Bahareh went to pick Ekene up at the train station. So when we walked back down to the lobby - they were more than surprised to bump into each other. ha.

Oh, and then Bahareh and Naja recognized each other from a party back in brooklyn two summers ago. wow.

im a sucker for these stories.

Walrus Turns 3!

H'ok. We're just gonna start from the top: i LOVE process!

This year WALRUS is turning 3 years old and they're celebrating by throwing a bash at The New York Aquarium - yep, in Coney Island USA.
