Oh, Farewell Then

Friday night i joined the masses in waiving 'buh-bye' to Jasaun ( she's moving to Los Angeles ). Oh, and it was her birthday too......pretty emotional night, i'd say.

Dancehall was the soundtrack of the night:
Tayo danced so much she blew her back out. tsk tsk.
My back was just fine - i've been conditioning all year, knawmean.
....and i so happen to have bumped into Fly Lady Di. She's also leaving the States; heading back home to Toronto. jeez.

Safe travels to you ladies & have a happy happy hustle.

LICHIBAN Fights Like A Ninja

....dats right - i said it.

Come on out to her solo art show at YUME [ info's all on flyer above ]. The show's called The Secret Lives of Samurais and it promises to be intensely entertaining at the least; peep the plump roster.

Also head over to her blog for more fancy foolishness: LICHIBAN .

Below's the poster im contributing to the show:
Lichiban's Hungarian heritage and its language were the inspiration for this poster.'Koronázd a szíved' is the Hungarian translation of her manifesto, 'Crown Your Heart' - all custom typography. The last time we connected for a show THIS & THAT happened.

Youth Holiday Party-On

I got to design the identity for this year's Youth Holiday Party thrown by Russell Simmons' RUSH Philanthropic. I also got two tickets any new york city tween would kill for.

So, we put them to good use last night:
If i had it my way i'd exclusively eat finger food, have celebrities sing to me, get gifts thrown to me from every direction, and have an entire face-painting staff on call.
Oh, to be a kid again.

It was really a fun show, even for us pre-adults. Gotta thank the folks at RUSH for letting me be a part of it. Hi-fives.

Park It.

Steph's Holiday Trunk Show was predictably impressive. "woah - i really had no idea how much stuff i was making until i displayed it all! Ooops!" - Stephanie Land.

Ha.

Well, it was all for good reason.
Lady Land's been an inspiration since i met her. She doesnt let anything get in the way of her grind.

gotta love it,
