We were supposed to go to the movies last night but were so tired after a long week in Oslo that we decided the best thing to do was to booze it up instead. So our trip went to an Irish pub downtown where they had Quiz night. We joined forces with a group of other friends and associates and went on to make real fools of ourselves. We MIGHT have gotten 5 questions right out of like 50. It sorta reminded me of when I was living in London and a group of us from Miami Ad School would go to the neighborhood pub for their Quizzes and after the initial 2 or 3 times, they would just point and laugh "The Americans are here" when we entered the pub. I didn't have the heart to tell them I was Norwegian.
Anyway. It was a film quiz so I was convinced we'll walk away with a prize, but when I even mistook a George Clooney picture to be Jerry Seinfeld...I knew the game was over. I even lost $100 on that mistake, but Gary, Lisa's coworker who didn't stick around for the camera to pop up, decided he would give it right back to me as a wedding gift (but only if I shared with my fiancé and told him that Gary is really cool and will make a great friend someday, possibly if we ever decide to move back to Norway).
I also got to meet a very interesting English man named Eddie. Anyone who lets me call Paris Hilton from his phone becomes my friend. I love Paris and as Eddie proclaimed, "She is a very misunderstood girl". I'm sure Paris loves drunk dials from strangers like me. If this is how he parties in Oslo, I can't wait to see him in New York in a couple of months.
Here we are before the boozing started.
Still no alcohol in our bodies...
Let the quizzing begin
We also got to taste and guess which one was the Jameson. I think we lost that contest as well.
Eddie gave Lisa a massage at the bar. Which I found to be a very interesting way of drawing other ladies towards our table.
Lisa paid back the favor by giving him a spanking. And Lene was just plain drunk.
She was actually so drunk that she decided to start shotting red wine.
Lisa found that to be the smartest idea of the night and joined in.
All in all, I can't remember laughing so hard since my bachelorette party and it was a great way of kinda ending my stay here. As you all might know by now...I'M COMING HOOOOME! Very soon.
