Moods of MTV

Friday night Lisa and I were invited to an exclusive MTV party followed by front row seats at the closing show of Fashion week. The night started with me stating that I wasn't gonna drink much, to which replied "Good luck hanging out with these guys then" and literally ended with me sliding down the hood of a strangers car very very ungracefully with my head first. Anders from MTV was the best host/drinking buddy ever and created a really entertaining night for us together with his beautiful baby's mama, Destina. There were bottles of champagne waiting for us wherever we went...and I think I managed to drink out of every single bottle popped. Bad idea it turned out right about the time I landed face down in the snow filled streets of Oslo, but I like to believe I learned a lesson. Not sure what it is yet, cuz I'm still a little drunk and can't think straight yet so I'll have to get back to you on that. But hey, look! I won an MTV award and it's true what they say, it's really heavy!

The fashion show was by Moods of Norway and probably the best organized event I've ever been to! Their theme this year was "travel" and they covered ALL areas of it. It was just perfectly tied in to everything from the sled dogs that greeted us, to the airport body scanners we walked through, to the food served to the perfect little goodie bags we got at the end (I love pajamas!). Just amazing and highly entertaining. Their business idea is followed through in all aspects of their events and designs. Check out the label in their suits (made by really really pretty blond girls) and their logo (a tractor) and their site for more goodies. Great end to Oslo Fashion Week.

(ok, this is not even halfway through the night and already I am molesting bears)

Dance, baby, dance!

Thursday night at my favorite club in Oslo, the oh so wonderful Kleerup got on stage and played the soundtrack of a sweaty dance party. It was just the kind of Blå (blue) party I always look forward to coming home to, and Kleerup helped sweeten the deal for a couple of hours. Afterwords DJ Ayres took over and kept the party going until the wee hours of the Oslo night. I had a quick talk with him and he turned out to be from Park Slope,Brooklyn...A little bit of BK always helps brighten up the day. So we kept going and going...and since there were no tables to dance on, I found out that a tall bar chair does the trick! I almost wanted to move into the club and keep the party going...then I remembered what I was walking out to. Oh beautiful Oslo.

Fashion Awards 09

I was invited to the opening show of Oslo Fashion Week and as usual it started with the award ceremony for designer of the year, this year handed out by Bjørn Bruun himself (model-acto-photographer turned founder and head designer of Bruuns Bazaar). The show had very few highlights actually (ballerinas!! little ones!!) and don't get me started on the goodie bags we received (shoe polish and water? seriously?), but it gave me the opportunity to finally step into the new Opera house in Oslo. It was too crowded to really take good pics, but you get the idea I think. You can also scoot away to the contractors official website to view more pics. The entire building is beautiful and extremely well designed (the lines, the lines!). During the summer season, they open the roof up for people to walk on (click play to see the movie showing everything off)!

Happy Love-day!

Today I hope you'll click your way to one of my favorite sites, Le Love, and gander at what love, lust, sex, romance and everything in between looks like.
