It's taken us over a year of traveling, longing and long distance calls, but Jelsen and I are oh so happy to (finally) announce that our VISA application has been approved! This means that I'll be coming home. Tomorrow!
After picking up my paperwork at the US embassy, I strolled the streets of Oslo and fell in love all over again. I am excited to get back to NY, but it's bitter sweet to leave my city behind.
The main street in Oslo has Ibsen quotes inscripted along the pavement and my favorite is right outside the Parliament. The quote is from a play called "An enemy of the people" and it reads ; "The minority is always right." I love that.
Later on in the evening; I met up with my girls for a night of waffles and homemade jams at our friend and domestic goddess, Anne Christine's house. It was delicious. Yum. Yum. Yum
Norway, Oslo, family and friends...I'll miss you and am leaving you with a piece of my heart and spirit. Kisses to you all.
