Our friend Alexis told me yesterday that she doesn't want to be our friend anymore because it seems like all our friends are ending up in hospitals these days. I really hope this is the last of the vicious cycle though.
This week our buddy, Billy had been experiencing some tummy pains and being the man he is, he didn't have it checked before it was a little too late. He ended up in the operation room where they performed emergency appendicitis and also remove part of his colon! Billy is now recovering in a very fancy hospital uptown where he has a view of the river, free internet and a magic remote. The magic remote controls the lights, the TV, the bed and...it has a button that goes straight to the nurse, so anytime he needs something he can ask for it!
He also has a magic button that gives him magic pain medicine whenever he needs it and he let me push it for him!! Hi girl, Becca, and I had the best time watching him get hiiiiigh.
Visiting hours are from 4-8pm, so I guess you just figured out what YOU're doing this weekend, huh?

!! RODNEY'S AWAKE !!

Talk about a power-nap. Rodney's back - not at 100% but back enough for most of us to finally breathe a tad easier. whew.

What's crazy is that i had a dream about him last night (sans-erotic)...and so did Bahareh (perhaps erotic)...and SO DID Stephanie (who knows)!

7:28am - Lois (Rodney's mom) texts us that he finally woke up and was speaking.

A Rodney Recovery // Week 01

That's right, motherfuckers: RECOVERY. What else did you expect? He's been resting well.
Jeremy (Rodney's little brother) MAY be just slightly funnier than his big bro.....we'll see when they're both healthy enough to formally compete.
Ah yes, my Brother-From-Another-Mother's mother: 'Momma Lois'.
Adoption papers are in the mail.
Set up a lil Jelsen Jargon office (always mobile, knawmean) at one of Bellevue Hospital's waiting rooms. Free internet.....if i stand next to the snack machine - NOT the coke machine.

A Rodney Recovery

Yesterday, Rodney got into a serious car accident and had to go through emergency surgery. He's still induced at the hospital but no longer in critical condition - he's now in the recovery room.

Luckily - after arguing with Bellevue Hospital's 'customer service' for 20mins - Steph, Bahareh & I got to go up and see him one at a time.

Good news is the doctors said they'll wake him up either tonite or monday morning. Im glad to see Noochi again and I also got to meet Rodney's mother and his little brother for the very first time.

* they're amazing.

The 18th Letter will be back in no time,
