Good Morning // Its 2009, duh.

The morning of Jan 1st 2009 was well greeted. We watched the international [and traditional] ski jumping game, washed down brown cheese with taquila shots [non-traditional], and got geared up for some cross-country skiing [my new tradition].
...which went really well. ha.
We then settled down at a frozen lake and built a fire [ yes, on the ice] for some hotdog eatin'.
After realizing that being numb in all the important places wasnt actually cool we jumped back into the ass-heated car and headed to Glenn's mum for sweets and giggles.

What's extra special is she handmade my lusekofte for me years ago and i finally got to meet [ hug ] and thank her for the wonderfulness.
Back home we slipped into the sauna Glenn & Kat built in their basement.

A friend of ours needed a watcher for a couple of hours. The very first thing she did was take a piss on our floor. aaaaaaaaaaaw.

Since thursday, Bahareh told me to make sure not to make any plans for monday morning. I agreed, secretly wishing the surprise'll be a behind-the-scenes tour of the Big Apple Circus.

WRONG.

Instead, we rode the bus to Brooklyn Heights for Bikram yoga. And it was friggin amazing. My very first time, too. 90 FULL minutes of 'rediscovering' muscles and tendants previously lost.
The back of my knees are feeling it all, right now.

9am, my mother and her Korean exchange student Jinsil Lee 'surprised' us Thursday morning with a a drop-in from florida.

ok, so we knew they were coming...but min the afternoon. ha.
As usual, my mother implies im always malnourished and on the brink of death. In comes the dufflebag-o-vitamins.

My entire family's celebrating my great grandmother's 95th birthday, her husband's 91st birthday, and their 65th Year Aniversary.....this wknd.
Cannot wait to dance with her again.

Our buddy, Guillo, gave us the gift of massage for our wedding. Well, a gift certificate to a spa-date to be more precise. In his note he wrote; "you have one hour to do the dirrty". This morning, Jelsen and I decided it was about time to cash it in and it's hard to describe how wonderful it was without making it sound as if we actually did something dirty, so I'm gonna keep it simple. It was just as good as you can imagine. And you KNOW you have great imagination.

On thursday morn, Yego [ of 21 Maroon Colony ] and i met up and biked over to The Brooklyn Library for some good ole fashion content soakage.

It's been ages since i've used the best thing our government has to offer.
