My Chevelle

It's hard to be a car dude in nyc - especially a classic americana car dude. But, today was my lucky day.

Two blocks away from me there's a mechanic's lot where a beautifully trashed & rusted sharp-tooth'd Chevelle sits:
.....and this is what it USED to be. Hopefully the good lord'll bring it back to life one day.

Ali Wins

Last night (oh....let's say around a drunken 3:15am) we had a few friends over after Colleen & Tom's housewarming party.

We all slumped on the couch, popped Mahagony in the dvd player, refilled our drinks - then someone asked, "ey, you have any chips?".......

17mins later our fridge was its fullest since Bahareh was last here - yes, a tragic fact; blame menupages.com. I also had a great convo (actually, due to the unavoidable language barrier it was more of a 'good' convo) with Ali.

He's really a nice dude. The movie - sucked.

More Ft Greenery

Why is my neighborhood amazing? There are just too many reasons, really.

This time around i wanna display a couple architectural gems. In 'gems' i mean, "interesting enough to stare at".

Walking i'll Keep

Hooray, booz!

Bahareh got me this as a traveler's gift while wandering the annoying corridors of Heathrow Airport (officially my least favorite airport). This set contains each color of the fabulous Johnny Walker Rainbow.

Delicious.

And can i even tell the difference between the four - nope, not yet. But i am determined to be a novice connoisseur by the time all four bottles are tapped.

My hard pallet (and liver) rejoice.

Good Morning // 14

Yes yes yes. Bahareh's back in NYC....in my loving biceps. We've been doing this back/forth for almost 4yrs now and i STILL get nervous when she pulls up in a cab. woah!

The Lady Love is (again) hotter than i remember her to be. how lucky am i? Lucky enough not to shred my face while shaving? nope. **MILESTONE: This is Courtesy Of's first official post with both Bahareh and i in the same country.

America, FUCK YEAH!

It's taken us over a year of traveling, longing and long distance calls, but Jelsen and I are oh so happy to (finally) announce that our VISA application has been approved! This means that I'll be coming home. Tomorrow!
After picking up my paperwork at the US embassy, I strolled the streets of Oslo and fell in love all over again. I am excited to get back to NY, but it's bitter sweet to leave my city behind.

The main street in Oslo has Ibsen quotes inscripted along the pavement and my favorite is right outside the Parliament. The quote is from a play called "An enemy of the people" and it reads ; "The minority is always right." I love that.

Later on in the evening; I met up with my girls for a night of waffles and homemade jams at our friend and domestic goddess, Anne Christine's house. It was delicious. Yum. Yum. Yum

Norway, Oslo, family and friends...I'll miss you and am leaving you with a piece of my heart and spirit. Kisses to you all.

Cool Heads.

So, tonite was our first class and it went really well. They made it easy - they have good portfolios.

Looking forward to next week.

Only Green and Red Delicious, please.

So, some way somehow I get the chance to co-instruct a graduating class in advertising with Carlo (we both went to Miami Ad School together; worked at BBDO around the same time also).

Pressure? of course! We'll tag-team that, though.

This is the photo we sent to our new graduating class as an Intro to Us. Looking forward to seeing how/if this all turns out. It'll be 10 whole weeks of it.

"dismissed!"

Bye bye baby

My friends and I gathered for a small bachelorette reunion party/ going away party for me on Sunday and pretty little Lejla was the obvious center of everyones attention. Lejla has cheeks the size of tennis balls and she clearly likes my cooking so you can imagine how much I love her.
