YES! So, lucky me - when i stayed at that Salt Lake City hotel for my layover there was a tv show on PBS that had a special on wooden roller-coasters. And guess where there was one? yep - San Diego.
So, the first (and only thing i planned to do besides go to the art opening) was to track this one down and tame it: 
....good times.

i used to ride this wooden roller coaster in illinois called "the eagle". the creaking of the wood was intense! nice pics homie.
